Desert Diesel came into existence as the product of crossing an Amherst Sour Diesel with an Emerald Mountain DAD (Diesel Afghan Diesel). Desert Diesel is a slender sativa-dominant (55%) marijuana strain that grows with an open structure. It puts on a colourful display where there is a significant night-time fall in temperature. This is a plant for all growing environments and, if grown indoors, it should be vegged. for a limited period as it can stretch quite a bit once flowering has been initiated. For outdoor growers a warm, dry, temperate or Mediterranean climate type is best| failing that a greenhouse at higher latitudes will also be acceptable. Its buds are dense and very resinous and anyone who is a fan of Diesel will love Desert Diesel. Grown indoors this strain will produce yields in the region of 340 – 525 gr/m2 in 65 – 75 days flowering. The exact yield and length of flowering will depend on local conditions and growers’ expertise. Outdoors plants can grow to a height of 3 – 4 meters or even more producing between 1.2 – 2.5 kg/plant in early/mid October in the northern hemisphere. The aroma and flavour of Desert Diesel are very complex and includes sweet fruit, sandalwood, oil and, of course, Diesel. THC production is 17% – 20% with low CBD of 0.1%. The effect is typically sativa, powerful, long-lasting giving feelings of euphoria with great clarity.
