Special Queen #1 is an easy-to-grow, high-yielding Skunk strain available at low-cost. It makes a great choice for a first-time grower or one who isn’t awash with cash. Nevertheless it is a good, solid strain with a classic Skunk high. It is a 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid cannabis strain.
Special Queen #1, a cross between Power Bud and Skunk, grows well in almost all environments. Indoors it grows to a maximum of 140 cm. tall producing 500 – 550 gr/m in approximately 8 weeks flowering when grown under a 600 watt grow light. Grown outdoors it can grow almost 300 cm. tall and produce up to 550 gr/plant with northern hemisphere harvests taking place in late September. Although the best results will come from plants grown in warm climates, such as that in the Mediterranean countries, it will also do well in the Netherlands and the UK.
A versatile strain Special Queen #1 can be cultivated in both soil and hydro systems and is a very straightforward plant to grow. Using a Sea of Green or Screen of Green technique will produce the best returns in terms of yield. It will reach its peak after 8 weeks although some growers harvest at 7 weeks for an even more cerebral high. Its 18% THC and low CBD together produce a very mental/head high that is typically Skunk. The effect is quite uplifting yet is able to relax those with anxious thoughts.
