Northern Lights #5 x Haze brings together a soaring, tropical sativa high with the shorter flowering, heavier yielding Afghani qualities. This 70% sativa plant is still one of the very finest cannabis hybrid strains ever created. HTCC winner in 1993 and still going strong.Displaying great hybrid vigour this is an excellent indoor strain which will also prosper outdoorsin warm, Mediterranean climates or even in a greenhouse where the weather is less predictable. These plants stretch quite a lot during the flowering phase such that freshly-rooted cuttings or seedlings that are switched to flowering can still exceed 100 cm. in height. Plants that have a longer vegetative period will become markedly taller than this. This short growth phase helps to compensate for the longer flowering period of 65 – 75 days – still very quick for such an elite sativa-dominant plant. Outdoor cultivators will be harvesting their stash in late October through to early November in northern latitudes. Yields are exceptionally high and the booty is large buds which are formed by flowering clusters which quickly fill in the spaces between inter-nodes. The terminal buds increase in size almost at an unbelievable rate until maturity when they can be longer and fatter than the growers arm even on plants that have been grown indoors! As an added bonus this is a marijuana strain from which it is very easy to take and root cuttings. The aroma of this strain is of lemon/citrus and its flavour is very much Haze-influenced. The high really is something else with a soaring, cerebral, almost psychedelic, Haze effect. The whole is very uplifting and creative and has been claimed to be able to alleviate stress as well as providing a source of energy with which to complete tasks.Northern Lights #5 x Haze – still one of the very best cannabis strains available today.
