Power Plant is a mostly sativa marijuana strain that originated in South Africa. It is a highly stable, consistent plant that has only ever been inbred and not hybridised with other strains. High THC and yield potential. Power Plant is a versatile strain being good for growing indoors, in greenhouses and also outdoors in warm climate regions such as the Mediterranean. It requires no special skills other than when grown indoors with limited head-room it will benefit for LST (low stress training) where the branches can be bent and tied down to restrict vertical growth but which also has the effect of increasing the yield as the small buds grow bigger vertically instead of joining up with other smaller buds on the stem. Indoor yields are likely to be in the region of 500 – 600 gr/m2 in eight weeks of flowering with plants growing to a maximum height of 150 cm. Outdoor plants should be ready in the first half of October in northern latitudes. Indoor plants start to show flowers after just one week of 12/12 while outdoors flowering appears to start quite late but it really accelerates through to the finish. The taste of Power Plant is quite soft and sweet with a pronounced aniseed or liquoriceflavour. The high is very cerebral and uplifting and is popular with medical marijuana users, chiefly for depression, pain and stress relief, as well as amongst recreational tokers too. Over indulgence can make the effect rather heavier.
